I imagine it’s champagne and anti-histamines all round in Cupertino today, with the news that Apple sold 1,119,000 iPhones in the forth fiscal quarter and posted profits of $904 million from revenue of $6.22 billion. The iPhone may be “the best iPod we’ve ever made”, though, but the cellphone-free version still outstrips the mobile by almost a factor of ten; Apple sold 10,200,000 iPods in Q4, a 17-percent increase over the Q4 2006.

So there was a little blurb about OS X Leopard that alluded to the fact that Notes syncing might become available to iPhone users with Leopard, but has since been removed. Certainly you can supposition the reasons why just as well as I can, either they changed their mind, or they just didn’t want to tell everybody just yet.

If it’s the latter, then on the 26th we’ll all find out as that first person either is or isn’t allowed to sync Notes with their iPhone. If it’s the former, they are probably still going to release the feature, just not right now, maybe it needed some more polishing, or maybe there are other motivators for holding out on us.

Do you have an iPod Touch? How about an Intel based Mac? If you do, you are in luck, as you can now easily Jailbreak it, install the missing iPhone apps, and get Installer.app on there so you can download other 3rd party apps.

Using the latest version of the iJailBreak app I told you about not too long ago that a forum member from our very own Apple-Touch forums made, there is now a built in option to install the missing iPhone apps. Previous versions just performed the Jailbreak and installed Installer.app, now they do so much more.

The Bromine Science and Environmental Forum have recently torn apart Greenpeace’s claims against the iPhone. The forum even went so far as to say that Greenpeace “sensationalized” some of its findings, well go figure, how many members do you think Greenpeace would have if they didn’t sensationalize things?

The main target in Greenpeace’s report was the content of Bromine, well guess what, that was the main thing in the BSEF’s report as well. More specifically though, the BSEF attacked the fact that Greenpeace was dumb for going off on a tangent about the Bromine when it’s a non-issue, you see, the Bromine in the iPhone is used as a fire retardant around the battery, it is reactive, and once activated, is no longer an environmental threat, it turns to plastic more or less.

In another “WTF?” move from Apple over the weekend, they lowered the number of iPhones that you can purchase at one time from 5 to 3 per person. So let me get this straight, they dropped the price by $200 in a very short time and pissed off all the early adopters and said that it was so they could sell more during the holiday season, yet now they are lowering the number of the device that you can buy?

Insiders are claiming its so they can keep demand up during the holiday season. Now I don’t know much about economics, but I’ve taken a few courses, and lowering supply to increase demand is a good move, but only when your product is overpriced, I’d say that the 1 million+ people that have already bought one are pretty good evidence that the price really isn’t too high, so what are they really playing at here?
