I have a 2g iphone and I need a back protector thingy for it. I am from the Philippines and unfortunately iPhones here are very very expensive. No special AT&T offers like what they have in the US. So I’m stuck with my 2g one. Just wondering if the 3g back protector thingy would fit on my 2g iPhone?? Because they don’t sell those for 2g anymore.

So I am trying to decide between getting an unlocked 3G iphone and an iPod touch. If I got a 3G iphone and unlocked it (and had no service), could I use the GPS? The 3G internet? The new apps? Also, how hard is it to get a iphone 3G, not get service, and unlock it?

I’m planning to buy and iPhone 3G from ebay, but i don’t plan to have a data plan for a few months. Now what I’m scared of is that I’ll accidently browse the internet on the 3G signal instead of WiFi, causing me to receive a huge bill for it from AT&T.
Is there a way to turn of 3G data, yet keep the calling and wifi features on at the same time via setting or something?

I’m fixing to buy a used 3G iPhone but since the 2G and 3G are basically the same, how can I make sure I’m actually getting a 3G? Is there a setting menu I can go to that will show me? Thanks.

Hi,
I recently bought an iphone 3g from a friend and he told me that there is a screen protector on it. I went home and I saw scratches on the screen (just spread out small scratches) and the corners of the iphone have no sign of a screen protector or anything. To my understanding, I know screen protectors do get scratches and iphone screens usually are hard to scratch. Any Idea?
