A company called Novothink has unveiled a new case for the iPhone called the Solar Surge. The device has a solar panel that helps charge a 1320mAH battery inside the case and the thing sells for $79.95.

The iPhone is still in second place for smartphones in the US according to the latest data from comScore. The iPhone is still far behind RIM who holds the top spot.

Jailbreaking the iPhone typically requires software and some free time. A new hardware jailbreak dongle called the iDongle has surfaced that can jailbreak any iPhone 3G or 3GS running OS 3.1.2 by just plugging it in.

Guitarists that would like to be able to record their jam session on the iPhone have a new cable that allows just that. The cable is called the Guitarbud and lets an electric guitar be connected to the iPhone along with a set of headphones.

This summer when Apple is rumored to be offering the iPhone OS 4.0 update, said update is supposed to include multitasking support. The ability to answer a call or text without leaving a game or webpage I am using would be fantastic.
