Is There A Way To Restore My Iphone Without It Connecting To Itunes? Need Iphone Help!!?
HALP! Last night I was at a friends house when my iPhone died, and him, being like a majority of the population, has an iPod… Which means he has a charger for it. So I try his wall charger and my phone starts going funny colours/plaid patterns/strange patterns etc. and everytime I’d press the home button the screen would get brighter and brighter… Strange, eh? Well anyways… So I go to plug it into his computer using a totally different cable connected to his USB. Well, you know the screen where it shows the battery on red and the charger cable / iTunes logo? Well it was that screen but with a lightning bolt signifying it was charging, but it wasn’t charging. I followed the troubleshooting guide and after a few attempts it worked. So I left it be. Then a few minutes later I decided to check on it and the bubble popped up saying repair is needed and can’t make calls or receive them. So I did the same process to get it to work this time, only it didn’t work. So I said **** it and went to bed. I came home this morning and dock it… Nothing. I use my wall charger… Nothing. I did a little more troubleshooting and iTunes said check to see if my SIM is in, so I pop it out and everything seems fine, but iTunes still can’t read it. Now I have the repair needed bubble on the wallpaper, no service, and the sliding thing that reads, “Slide for Emergency,” you know that screen, right? Well anyways… I am looking for help or maybe a way to restore my iPhone without it connecting to iTunes.
please&thankyou

I am not sure about this, but try to buy a new SIM card and put it on the iPhone. Or, put the iPhone on a different charger cable, into a different wall outlet. Or, try to restore it using the external hard disk mode on the device to back up your data. Then, backup the data on the iPhone, onto your computer. Then, delete the information on the hard disk. Then, try to connect the iPhone to the computer, and open iTunes. It should try to repair the iPhone. Restore your data as needed by opining the iPhone in external hard disk mode, then copy the backup data from your computer onto the iPhone. Or, just pay to get a new one, or pay to get it repaired. I hope this information has helped you with your issue. Email me if you need anything clarified.
