im dating this guy…..3 months now, we’re not exclusive yet. (he wants to take things slow, and doesnt want to rush anything). yet these are just some of the things he’s does, and im curious on how you all interpret it on how he feels. (even tho’ he says hes not ready for committment yet, and whenever its brought up, he says the same thing “he’s not ready”) but these are some of the things he does on a regular basis…….
—when out in public, always hold my hand, hugs me, or kisses me (a lot)
—texts me first thing in the morning to say “good morning/have a great day at work”
—texts me on his lunch break or in between class (he works full time and goes to college too one day at week)
—calls me the second he gets out of class/work
—when out with friends, will call me, tell me where he’s going who he is with, and will call me the second he gets home.
—calls me before he goes to bed.
—insists i call him the second i get home (whether it be from a night out with him or if out with friends to make sure i get home ok).
—when i leave his house, he’ll stand at the top of the driveway, and watch me as i back out of the driveway, ’til i get into the road and drive off.
—has a pic of us on his wallpaper on his iPhone.
—will text me when im out with my friends (with the occassional “i miss you” attached to it).
—the other day he randomly emailed me a new pic he had taken of himself while he was out doing a video recording for a sweet 16 he was hired for.
—calls me hun’….hunny….or dear (rarely calls me by my name).
— will shuffle to songs i like while driving in his car from his ipod.
****he does all these things, yet, is still not ready to be “exclusive” with me*****
what do u all think?
when ive brought this up in the past, he said he’s not ready, so i just went with it, and dated other people, as did he…..but now he says hes closer to taking it to the next level (not sex, next level as in being solely committed to me) yet…….has not made us official. help!!!
in response to “me just being me” you gave me this story (that happened to you, thats not even close)…we are dating….he takes me out to dinner, movies, ive met his parents (and have double dated with them and have had dinner at their house), also he bought me a diamond bracelet for v-day and had a weekend getaway for the two of us, so we’re not friends….we’re def’ more than friends, just not comitted yet.
this just in (lol) we were talking on the phone just now (he called me the second he got out of work, like always) and we were play arguing (we do that from time to time, its fun), and he threw and “i love u” my way, to which i replied “yea right” then he’s like “i read that survey you sent” (i had to go back to figure out what he meant, cos he wouldnt tell me what he was talking about, i sent a survey and there must have been a Q i couldnt remember just then to which that had to do with)…so I went back, and there was a Q that said “does anyone love you” and i answered “if they do, they’ve never said it” ….hmmmm….i wonder if that was a legit “i love you” then i brought up my birthday cos im shocked its a month away, and then he’s like “i got BIG plans for your b-day” hmmmmmm, he has me all sorts of curious now. i wonder what he has planned.
