OK so here’s the thing. I’ve been dating this guy for 2 months now. Im very much into him….and from what I can tell, he’s into me. (so I think). Theres and age difference…Im 29 and he’s 23…but that doesn’t bother either of us or our families. Since we’ve met, he has called me every day (usually on his lunch breaks, but if busy or if Im at work while he’s on it, he’ll text, either way, he contacts me every day on his break) and he’ll always call me the second he gets out of work. If he goes out with friends, he’ll call me the second he gets home (even if its really late, just to let me know he’s home safely). If we hang out, he’ll call me the second he gets home, for the same reason (and expects me to call if Im the one driving home). He will either call or text me right before he goes to bed too, and occasionally I’ll get the “good morning” text from him to start the day. His calls are so predictable, I can look at the clock and be like ok, he gets out of work at 10, i know i should expect his call between 10-1020.
We have both met each other’s families (and then some….I say that because, X-mas eve, we had a party at my parents house, and he wanted to see me, but I mentioned the party, and that I had plans, and he sounded disappointed cos he wanted to spend that time with me, so in so many words, it seemed like he wanted to be invited, so I invited him, and he accepted, and I even asked “are you sure, cos 30 of my family members will be there” he was okay with it). We hang out every weekend, and soemtimes during the week, so on average, we see each other 1-3times per week. I noticed he has a picture of us on his iPhone’s background/wallpaper. When we are together, he is very affectionate and romantical. Always holding my hand, snuggling with me, hugging me, or kissing me, even in public. He never calls me by my name, its always “hun, or hunny” Hes said things to me like “i can see myself falling in love with you in a couple months” and “youre the first girl Ive dated since my ex that has made me happy” (his ex broke his heart, leaving him for another guy, and he was a wreck over it….dating after her, but no girl ever came close to taking his mind off of her, except for me, from what he says). He has a lot of friends who are girls (at first this bothered me, but I have grown to trust him) he did tell me that he “dropped” one of the friends, cos she was telling him “I was clingy and that he should leave me” (i guess she had a thing for him, he didn’t feel the same and he was like “im not leaving her, sorry” meaning me….and has not talked to her since). he has something really special for valentine’s day for me (well the weekend after that is, on the 14th he has his cousin’s wedding to go to, and is going there with his whole family, and since its small, no guest unless youre married, he asked me to go with him, but his mom was like no guests, so blah).

this seems all good, right??????????????????? Wrong, this is now the part where I fill you in on all the stuff that makes my head spin, hence why I am on here.
I have mentioned us being exclusive, and for some reason, this always causes a stink. I keep getting’ Im not ready Im not ready, I like you a lot, Im very into you, you’re very important/special to me, but Im not ready. Ive also got, no worries, im not seeing anyone else, nor am i looking. there have also been times hes said “im so glad i finally found someone and no longer have to search” then he’d turn to me and smile. (cos he meant me)
there will be times, where off the top of my head i cannot think of a good example, but i would reply to him “what do u want me to do” and he’d say “stay with me” or “dont leave me” (meaning i guess dont leave him like his ex did, idk).
yet, he doesn’t want to be exclusive yet cos he’s “not ready”
then………………………id be like “well, will we ever become official” and he’ll come out and say something to follow like “i think v-day will be good” id be like what u mean “good” he means like “like our offical day”
then next time is i graze the topic, out comes the whole “im not ready” crap
then the most recent conversation, just to see what he would say “i was like i can understand/respect the not ready thing, since we both got out of long term relationships, going slow is fine with me, i respect that, and when youre ready, youre ready” to which he’d reply “i think v-day will change it all…..trust me”
im like wtf does that mean???????
he knows i only want one thing for v-day, and that’s us to be official…i keep telling him all the chocolates and flowers and jewlery and stuffed animals mean nothing to me…..they would only be an added bonus.
since then, he keeps bringing up v-day, saying things like “i think youre gong to be excited”
so im all confused…..he soooooooooooo seems like he is into me and then some, then he throws the not ready bullcrap, then throws v-day at me
making me think otherwise again. its crazy and then some. i know some of you are probably like, hes playing u to get you into the sac….well…..we’ve already slept together, so that’s not it. i know he did get some sort of jewelry for v-day for me, cos one day at the mall, we walked by a jewelry store, and he wanted me to look at things, so he can get an idea…then he asked ring sizes…..and i know for a fact yesterday he was out with his dad, at a store his friend works at (which i know for a fact is a jewelry store).
so im like ok……someone who isnt into someone, doesn’t go out and buy jewelry. so what is his deal? why is he being so weird. i apologize this is so long, but there is just so much detail, that i really cant leave any out, cos its all important. please help me, is he playing games, or trying to trick me into thinking hes not into me, so he can sweep me off my feet for our v-day plans and make it so special, that is this amazing night to remember by adding on the “lets be official” question. help me. thank u for listening.
